About Tookie
Growing up in a military family, I literally traveled the world as a child. As an adult I settled in Colorado where I raised my family. One especially cold winter, my husband Jim and I decided to escape for a few months to South Carolina. The warmth of the people we encountered was all it took to convince us that we needed to stay! We had found our forever home in the Upstate of South Carolina.
My early career as a human resources professional taught me the people skills of mentoring, training, negotiating and in general working with people. In addition, just because I have always loved real estate, I worked part time in the title industry explaining and guiding people through real estate contracts. These skills transfer over well to my career as a Real Estate professional.
My reviews often mention that I can create calm in a stressful situation, go the extra mile for my clients and contain words such as compassion, calm, care, expertise and knowledge. I attribute this to the fact that I truly care about my clients. Indeed, most become close friends. I take their concerns personally and make it my goal to relieve the inherent pressure of a real estate transaction and get them through the process feeling as stress free and anxiety free as possible. When we do hit a issue, as can happen in such an important transaction, I take them by the hand and guide them successfully through any and all rough spots.
